Eco-1 were selected to carry out generator replacement works to 2 No. Co-op RDC (Regional Distribution Centre) sites at Avonmouth and Castlewood.  The works involved the decommission and removal of the 2 No. existing Cummins 1000Kva generators from their position and replacement with 1 No. 1500Kva prime rated set, enclosed in a weatherproof close fit canopy and noise level of 74 dBA @ 7m at full load. The new standby generator was also fitted with a SCR/NoX system incorporating full NoX measurement technology.

A full fuel polishing system was installed to the existing bulk fuel tank.

A purpose-made Connection box at each site were designed, supplied and installed to provide additional resilience to the Site infrastructure.  The connection box installed, provided a facility to introduce a load bank at any time and fully test the new generator offline. It also provided a separate connection facility to easily introduce a second temporary Generator should the Primary Generator fail under a network failure situation.   

The above works also included all necessary new and modified electrical and control works to bring online the new standby generator.

During the period of works, the site was always fully supported by a 1500Kva temporary stand by generator.
