Eco-1 Front Page News

We hit the front page of the Express and Star on Tuesday this week with the headline – Electrical company to create 100 new posts. It as great to give the paper a good news story for once. The article read:-

An electrical installation firm in Aldridge – which launched just seven months ago – is to create 100 jobs over the next year , bosses revealed today. Eco-1 Electrical Solutions offered its services nationwide.

The company is currently based in Wharf Approach but is preparing to move to the site of the town’s former magistrates court where a new two-storey office block is being built.

The building project started last September and finishing touches are being added before the firm moves in on July 1.

Company Chairman David Hill said :”We set this business up in August and intend to move there. It will create lots of jobs for electricians both locally and nationally.

“In the next year we will be looking to take on 100 people. We are also looking for apprentices.”

Mr Hill said the firm would occupy the first floor of the building and is looking to rent the ground floor space to another company.

Around a dozen of the firm’s employees would be based at the new site in Court Parade moving from the offices in Wharf Approach.

The company currently employs between 50 and 60 electricians across the country in additionto the office based staff in Aldridge.

The article has predictably lead to a huge surge in applications for jobs. We are taking details at present and when the vacancies become available will contact suitable candidates. I'd like to thank all the applicants for their interest
